Darkline INK was built as a hub for showcasing incredible talents in the digital arts community.

We are building an entire resource of up-and-coming graphic, digital, photography, and commercial media artists; to create and make our community thrive with other like-minded artists to share the vision to others. We encourage others who share this vision to be a part of the community through Visual design, blogging, journals, tutorials, resources and open discussions.

Founder Notations & Biography

As a commercial digital artist for over 10 years, Jonathan has focused his body of work in Multimedia/Web/Graphic/Print and Brand Design.

Recently beginning to bring new inspiration to light, he has begun to actively compete in national art competitions which include a 2nd place win in the Ventura County Fair's Professional Arts Design Competition (Digital Arts Division), 1 of 3 runners up in the Chicago Fringe Festival Logo Design Contest 2011 as well as ArtistsWanted "Art Takes Times Square" global arts competition hosted by Questlove of the Roots and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Darkline Ink was also formed in 2008 and realised online in early 2010 as his virtual design company as well as housing a community of featured artists alongside providing a design community of other like-minded artists including design blogs, tutorials, featured artists and his design portfolio.

His designs combined photography, custom Photoshop brush design blending and implementing traditional painting, pop-art, mixed media and street art mediums that are transformed to create colorful, wild and vivid collage-style expressions.

I try to think of myself as a transistor of sorts. I plug-in to my art and music to amplify my thoughts as an expressive tool to communicate an artful tapestry. - J. Blackburn
